Evans Contemporary is pleased to present Of Another Place, an exhibition featuring the paintings of Bernie Martin. Organized by Kate Story, and curated by Jon Lockyer and Victoria Mohr-Blakeney, the retrospective runs in conjunction with A Certain Place: The Bernie Martin Festival. Celebrating the visual art of local artist Bernie Martin (who passed away in 1995) the exhibition showcases the unique vision of the prolific, multi-disciplinary artist. Martin, who possessed a robust spirit of mentorship, fostered creative ambition, motivated, and granted artists permission and encouragement to produce their own work.

Of Another Place opens with a reception on Friday, November 18th, from 6 - 10pm. A curators talk with on Lockyer and Victoria Mohr-Blakeney will take place in the gallery at 8pm. Charcuterie, wine and refreshments will be served. The exhibition runs through to December 17th.

This exhibition takes place in our current location - 129 1/2 Hunter St. West, 3rd Floor.
